Grief Share
La-Rinda Aguilar
Larinda is a mother of two and a grandmother of three boys, roles that bring her great joy and keep her anchored in love and purpose. But above all, she is a follower of Christ who loves the Lord with all her heart. Through every loss, He has been her strength, her comfort, and her guide. Larinda’s story is not just about grief, but about God’s faithfulness. Where there was brokenness, He has brought healing; where there was sorrow, He has planted purpose. Her prayer is to continue to serve Him by walking with others through their grief and pointing them to the One who brings true hope.
Larinda became a widow in August 2016 when her husband passed away unexpectedly at just 41 years old. His passing was sudden and heartbreaking, and it turned her world upside down. Just a few months earlier, in May 2016, she had already walked through the loss of her father-in-law, and in the years that followed, she would also grieve the passing of her grandmother in July 2017 and her mother in February 2018. Experiencing numerous profound losses in such a short period was overwhelming and, at times, seemed unbearable.
When Larinda’s husband passed, she attended GriefShare, and it became a place of refuge where she could begin to process her pain and learn how to navigate life after loss. It was through that season that God began to stir something greater in her heart. In 2017, God placed a clear calling on her to step into leadership as a GriefShare Director so that she could walk alongside others who were hurting and share the same hope and healing that the Lord had given her. What began as her deepest valley became a ministry, a way to comfort others with the comfort she had received
We are often taught how to handle many of life’s emotions, yet rarely prepared for how deeply grief will affect us. Grief Share is a Christ-centered, Bible-based program designed to help individuals on their journey through loss, offering biblical wisdom, practical tools, and the reminder that they are not alone.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
